One of the great pleasures of spending a few days in a Bath Holiday Cottage is to be situated in a region of great historical wealth. Along with Wiltshire and the surrounding areas, it is a part of England endowed with a sense of the colourful past. This feeling of heritage is no more apparent than in the wonderful old market town of Bradford on Avon.
The town has a history dating back to the Romans. The various ages which followed are mostly discoverable in one part of the town or another. It is here that those looking to see historic buildings and engage the gentle, somewhat cultivated milieu of a historic town come to spend some time.
Perfectly complementing the rich heritage is one of the secret gems of all Bath Holiday Cottages. Providence Chapel, a Grade II Listed Building, is the ideal place for those who want to situate themselves in the midst of a charming old property while being conveniently close to the restaurant and cafe culture to be found in the narrow streets of this lovely market town.
Providence Chapel was converted not all that that long ago and the one half is now a lovingly refurbished self-catering guest house.
Those who find themselves ensconced in the welcoming, homely Chapel can enjoy spacious comfort and gentle luxury. Providence Chapel offers accommodations for 2 to 4 guests. The ground floor is given over to a comfortable lounge with television and DVD facilities, a fully-fitted kitchen and dining area.
Much more than an ordinary Bath Holiday Cottage, facilities on the ground floor include everything from a dishwasher to a microwave and there is even a cloakroom.
The first floor comprises the Master Bedroom with a double bed and en-suite facilities. It also has small dressing room from where the second floor can be accessed. The second floor has space for another two guests in the twin bedroom with washbasin.
To make sure that everyone feels right at home, a hamper of lovely goodies awaits all guests on arrival. It includes necessities like milk, bread, eggs, tea and coffee, all you need to unwind after a trip.
The hamper also has a couple of treats, like a delicious homemade cake, some fruit and bottle of wine. A glass or two of wine is always good to enjoy on the small patio out front.
Providence Chapel is let at weekly rates which vary during the year. Rates start at £350 per week and go up to £550 during the peak season. During low season there is occasionally the chance to book Providence Chapel for short breaks.

Whenever you visit, you can expect lovely accommodations as well as have a plethora nearby sites and activities to please just about every whim and taste. Bath itself in only a 15 minute train ride away.
