3 Beau Street
Surrounded by hills, the beautiful historic City of Bath is one of Britain’s great destinations. It has the heritage architecture, the fine dining, the quaint pubs, curious shops and numerous entertainments. Situated right in the heart of historic Bath, close to the Roman Baths and Pump Room, are the Bath Spa Apartments in Beau Street, a narrow, quiet street just off thriving Stall Street.

Appropriately for a city steeped in heritage, the Bath Spa Apartments building dates from the late 18th century. It underwent a significant refurbishment in the 1990s. Guests of these cosy 3-star self-catering apartments will have the best of both worlds, all that makes modern life luxurious while still enjoying the aesthetic richness of preserved features like exposed oak beams, cast-iron fireplaces and the unusual, earlier blocked mullion window on the carpeted staircase.

There are three apartments, each on its own floor. It’s important to note that the first is on the first floor and there are 17 steps to get to it, making it unsuitable for those with significant mobility problems. Each apartment has a double bedroom and a single bedroom, making it ideal for 3 people, though there is the option to sleep a fourth on a pull-out bed. The bedrooms all benefit from percale bedding and goose-down pillows.

Expect prints on the walls, silk curtains and comfy sofa seating in lounge-cum-dining room. There is a dining table with chairs in every apartment. The kitchen of each apartment is fully fitted, not least with a washer/dryer. The bathrooms are also pleasing, each with a quality shower fitted over the bath, as well as a pedestal washbasin. Of course, you’ll also have TV with DVD player and Ipad player.

The rates are comprehensive and include gas and electricity, Wi-Fi internet access, towels and linen and a parking permit for one vehicle in the Central Zone (Beau Street is in it). The apartments are south facing, with views which carry the eye to wooded ground which rises to Beechen Cliff.

You’ll also be able to see the new Thermae Bath Spa building with its stunning Rooftop Pool, which is only a minute away. Both bus and train stations are within five-minutes’ walk of the property, and many of Bath’s famous attractions and destinations are in the near vicinity. Bath is a place for walking if you stay at Beau Street.
